Privacy Policy
Effective and last updated August 28, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Levera (“Levera,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, discloses, retains, and protects personal information when you use leveraterminal.com, join the Levera Terminal private-beta waitlist, contact us, use an interactive preview, sign in to the private beta, or use the protected Terminal workspace. It also describes choices and rights that may be available to you.
Scope
This policy applies to Levera’s public website, waitlist, contact forms, product previews, beta-access login, and protected Terminal workspace. The current Terminal is an early beta that stores the recruiting records, actions, firm watchlists, opportunities, relationship records, and member-profile preferences an authorized user chooses to enter. It does not currently store resumes, uploaded files, connected email-account content, or Scout prompts. We will update this policy before or when future features begin collecting materially different personal information.
Information we collect
We currently collect or process the following limited categories:
- Waitlist information: your email address, submission time, referral page, source, and campaign attribution such as UTM source, medium, and campaign.
- Contact information: your email address, optional name, selected topic, message, referral page, submission time, and request status.
- Website and interaction information: page views, calls to action selected, preview or system panels opened, waitlist form start, success, or error events, FAQ interactions, page path, referrer, and limited campaign attribution.
- Security information: request route and time, request counts, and a one-way hashed identifier derived from network and browser information for rate limiting and abuse prevention. Hosting and infrastructure providers may also process standard server logs.
- Beta authentication information: an access password is processed transiently to verify whether it matches the approved password. We do not store the readable password in site records. If access is approved, we place an essential signed session cookie on your device containing an access version, scope, and expiration time.
- Terminal workspace information: firms, roles, locations, application stages, deadlines, sources, notes, tasks, firm-monitoring preferences and review history, opportunity records, professional-contact names and details, outreach status, follow-up dates, and activity generated from changes made within Terminal.
- Member profile and preferences: display name, initials, optional headline, school, graduation year, target role, target location, weekly action goal, accent color, workspace density, and preferred start screen.
Please do not submit Social Security numbers, payment information, health information, government identifiers, financial-account credentials, account passwords, or other sensitive personal information through public forms or the Terminal workspace. The current Service does not provide payments or file uploads and does not intentionally collect precise location, biometric, health, or government-ID data.
Sources of information
We receive information directly from you when you submit a form, enter the beta password, or add records to Terminal; automatically from your browser, device, and network when you use the Service; and from referral or campaign links that brought you to the Service. We do not currently obtain personal information about visitors from data brokers or social networks.
How we use information
- Manage the private-beta waitlist and provide requested beta communications.
- Authenticate authorized beta access and maintain secure sessions.
- Save, organize, connect, and display the recruiting workflow records and personalization settings you add to Terminal.
- Respond to questions, feedback, support requests, and privacy requests.
- Operate, troubleshoot, measure, secure, and improve the Service.
- Detect duplicate, fraudulent, automated, unauthorized, or abusive activity.
- Comply with legal obligations and establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.
Where applicable law requires a legal basis, we rely on consent for requested communications; steps taken at your request before providing a service; our legitimate interests in operating, securing, measuring, and improving the Service; and compliance with legal obligations. You may withdraw consent at any time without affecting earlier processing.
AI and automated features
The public preview uses illustrative information. Scout currently provides rule-based guidance from records already stored in your Terminal workspace. Scout prompts are processed in your browser for the current interaction and are not stored or sent to an external AI model. The Service does not make decisions about employment, education, credit, or other matters with legal or similarly significant effects. Before a future Scout or other AI-powered feature processes personal information, we will describe the data, purpose, providers, retention, and available controls.
How we disclose information
We may disclose personal information only as reasonably necessary:
- Service providers: vendors that provide website hosting, database, email, security, and operational infrastructure under instructions to process information for Levera.
- Legal and safety: authorities or other parties when we reasonably believe disclosure is required by law or necessary to protect rights, safety, users, or service integrity.
- Business transactions: a prospective or actual buyer, investor, successor, or adviser in connection with a financing, merger, acquisition, reorganization, or sale, subject to appropriate protections.
We do not sell personal information. We do not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, use it for targeted advertising, or disclose it to third parties for their own direct marketing. We do not offer financial incentives in exchange for personal information.
Cookies and similar technologies
Levera does not currently use advertising cookies or third-party advertising pixels. The protected Terminal uses one essential first-party cookie named __Host-levera_terminal. It is Secure, HTTP-only, and SameSite Strict, and it expires after seven days unless you sign out sooner or access is revoked. It maintains an authorized session and is not used for advertising. We also record first-party interaction events and use essential hosting and security technologies to operate forms, measure basic use, and prevent abuse.
Because we do not currently sell or share personal information for targeted advertising, browser opt-out signals such as Global Privacy Control do not change our present practices. If those practices change, we will update this policy and honor legally required opt-out signals.
Retention
We keep personal information only as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this policy. Retention depends on the type and sensitivity of the information, the duration of the beta and our relationship with you, security and troubleshooting needs, and legal obligations. Waitlist and public contact records may be retained while the beta is planned or operated and for a reasonable period afterward. Terminal workspace records remain until the authorized user deletes them, access is closed, or retention is no longer necessary to operate the beta, subject to legal obligations and reasonable backup cycles. Interaction and abuse-prevention records are retained for the shorter period needed to understand use, maintain records, and protect the Service. Session cookies expire after seven days. We then delete or de-identify information unless a longer period is required by law, to resolve a dispute, or to enforce an agreement.
Security
We use administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed for the nature of the information we hold, including encrypted transport, restricted access, signed and HTTP-only session cookies, one-way password comparison, input validation, request-size limits, rate limiting, and security headers. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. If an incident affects personal information, we will investigate and provide notice when applicable law requires it.
Your choices and privacy rights
You may unsubscribe from promotional beta communications using the instructions in a message or submit a request through our contact page by selecting “Privacy request.” Depending on where you live and applicable law, you may have the right to request access to, correction of, deletion of, or a portable copy of your personal information; object to or restrict certain processing; withdraw consent; appeal a denied request; or receive equal service without discrimination for exercising a privacy right.
We may need to verify your identity before completing a request and may retain limited information needed to document it. You may use an authorized agent where applicable law permits. Some requests may be limited by legal exceptions. To appeal a decision, use the same contact channel and state that you are appealing a privacy-request decision. Levera does not currently sell personal data, process it for targeted advertising, or profile users in furtherance of decisions with legal or similarly significant effects.
International visitors
Levera operates from the United States, and service providers may process information in the United States or other countries with laws different from those where you live. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for international transfers. You may also have the right to complain to your local data-protection authority.
Children
The Service is designed for college students and other adults and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 submitted personal information, use the contact page so we can investigate and delete it when appropriate.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as Levera Terminal develops or legal requirements change. We will post the revised policy, update the date above, and provide additional notice when a change is material or applicable law requires it. We will not materially change our treatment of information already collected without providing notice or obtaining consent when required.
Contact us
